Tard Foundation supports the work of different climate activists as they believe every activist has a story to tell, every level has a solution to give, and every solution has a life to change. They provide logistical support to attend international events to share experiences and extend smaller grants to grassroots activists. Through their belief that Christians have a God-given responsibility to protect and care for creation, working with other Christian and faith-based organizations is essential to create awareness about the need for climate action. Through this approach, they highlight the immorality of the crisis and how faith organizations can be agents of change. The organization goes to schools and communities to educate students and teachers about climate change and how they use their voices and platforms to be a part of the solution. Similarly, they organize capacity-building workshops to train youth about the different aspects of climate education and impact campaigning.
Tard Foundation is a Christian Climate foundation limited by guarantee. They are legally registered in 2022 in Uganda. They work to build leverage on faith and its role in achieving climate justice for the most affected communities. Tard Foundation manages the Vash Green Schools Project, which was started in 2019 by Vanessa Nakate. It involves the installation of solar panels and clean cooking stoves in schools in Uganda. They do this to drive a transition to renewable energy, bring eco-friendly alternatives to schools, and improve the educational experience of students and teachers by ending energy poverty. They have carried out installations in 64 schools, impacting more than 20,000 students.
