The Kapeni Reforestation and Conservation project is a one year program to complete the implementation of activities following four key project components: 1. Community Mobilization for increased participation in the management and rehabilitation of natural resources and the environment involving all members of the community especially women who are the main beneficiaries. 2. Tree planting (forestry, agro-forestry and fruit trees) 3. Firewood Saving Stoves to be constructed in order to save the trees. 4. The regeneration of the already existing forest activities. In order to achieve the intended objectives, a number of training for capacity building to the members of the community, especially women will be conducted by CHIREHO organization.
CHIREHO was established and registered in Malawi in 2012 with the aim of promoting social and economic development in Malawi through the implementation of development projects in the area of; Education, Social welfare, Health, Environment, Agriculture as a way of eradicating poverty.
