YANA aims to transform minds through education and mobilize resources to alleviate the suffering of socially disadvantaged communities, empowering them to overcome poverty and abuse, develop and attain their potentials, and build sustainable, healthy, empowered, poverty-free communities for all. The scholarship offered comprise various forms of assistance, including tuition fees (partial or full), uniforms, bags, books, shoes, etc., depending on the availability of funds. The scholarships are given to eligible beneficiaries and cover educational-related costs for a whole academic year. The project targets underprivileged children and youths who are academically promising but lack the financial means to attend school. Most of these beneficiaries come from the North region of Cameroon, which has historically suffered from the highest poverty and illiteracy rates in the country; and the Southwest of Cameroon, especially internally displaced persons (IDPs), victims of the sociopolitical crisis in the Anglophone regions of the country.
