SOA TANZANIA through the Mikoko Yetu "Our Mangrove" project aims to establish a Locally Managed and Protected Mangrove Forest (LMPMF), an MPA- Like-Mangrove-Forest, adopting a total area of 3,000Ha in Bagamoyo,Tanzania for restoration, conservation and protection, to fight climate change, restoring ocean health and sustainability while empowering local indigenous coastal communities and youth in sustainable blue economy and raising awareness on how human being can sustainably coexist with our ocean.
Sustainable Ocean Alliance TANZANIA (SOA TANZANIA) is a legally registered YOUTH-LED NGO and an official hub of an international NGO known as Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA) based in Tanzania, working to empower youth and local coastal communities in Tanzania via ocean conservation and sustainable blue economy, restoring the health and sustainability of the ocean, creating a health and sustainable ocean for this and the next generation.
