The project Geospatial Data for Climate Mobility uses geospatial tools to map out land cover features of areas affected by land degradation in the subject area and collect information to be used on restoration of woodlands and degraded lands; sustainable agriculture, influencing land management policies and other social development activities planning. With the tools the project accesses the analysis of complex demographic and land cover data sets building adaptive capacities and providing awareness on social linkages on the ground. The primary beneficiaries of the project are mobility communities that migrate to Tanzania whilst the secondary beneficiaries are the host communities in Kigoma region.
