Daniela is an Engineer turned climate advocate from Cali, Colombia. She is most interested in the power of art and science to build identities and shape systemic realities.
She first joined local climate strikes in 2019, and since then delved continuously deeper into international climate work. She co-directed Re-Earths Initiatives’s Live On The Frontlines Campaign that showcased at COP27 and several community-screenings worldwide and now serves as Data and Impact director.
In addition to her work at Re-Earth, Daniela works on GS financial justice and movement-building consulting at an international level, and climate education related to biodiversity and alternative-economies at a local level.
Daniela graduated from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia with a degree in Chemical engineering, a minor in Biomedical Engineering and an honors thesis in Biotechnology.
In August 2021, Daniela joined Re-Earth Initiative as a researcher, then turned into the lead of the Live On The Frontlines Campaign. Daniela set up the Data and Impact strand to trace the stories from information and serves as its director at the moment.
