Maggie (she/they) is a climate justice advocate based in London, UK. Originally from Chicago, the City of Big Shoulders, she has a BSc in Environmental Science with minors in Chemistry and Art History from DePaul University and a MSc in Finance from the University of Utah.
Maggie first got involved with climate justice during college where she spearheaded Dr. Montgomery’s soil science laboratory by providing free heavy-metal contamination testing in urban soils across the Chicagoland Area. She has worked with a variety of different organizations such as the Forest Preserves of Cook County, a low-bono immigration nonprofit, a US-based sovereign wealth fund, and a subsidiary of Octopus Energy Group. Maggie is deeply passionate about the intersection between land stewardship, grassroots collaboration, and climate action.
Maggie is currently a part-time regenerative farmhand, part-time grassroots collaborator for a variety of climate initiatives including Kentish Town Vegbox, Power Up North London, and Re-Earth Initiative.
Maggie joined REI in November 2024 to support the development and expansion of REI’s financial and fundraising goals.
