Niklas (he/him) is the Strategy and Technical Director at Re-Earth Initiative. Originally from Davos, Switzerland, he combines his background in climate activism with systems thinking and organisational development.
He began his activism journey in 2019 with a sit-in at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, which led to the formation of a local climate strike group and involvement in national and international climate justice movements, leading him to join Re-Earth Initiative in 2021. In his current role, he focuses on shaping organisational strategy while ensuring Re-Earth's infrastructure supports its growing global impact.
He is currently pursuing a degree in Human, Social, and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge.
In January 2021, Niklas joined Re-Earth Initiative as Website Coordinator, evolving into the role of Technical Director focused on technical operations. As of November 2024, he acts as Strategy & Technical Director, overseeing both organizational strategy and technical operations.
