Rusal Ferus (she/they) is Research + Writing and Press Coordinator at Re-Earth Initiative. At 22 years old, from Atlanta, Georgia, United States she is a GIS Technician at Pike Engineering, where she creates construction maps for electrical grids. She will be studying Urban Forestry and Planning in 2023 at the University of Wisconsin.

I started activism at a point in my life when I was overwhelmed with climate anxiety. I felt like getting involved would make me feel hope and allow me to make a difference in my community. I strongly believe that intersectional problems require intersectional solutions. That’s why I want to work towards solutions that improve the lives of marginalized people all over the world.
I believe that the youth have a unique perspective on the climate and environmental activism. We see what is going on with the world but many don't take us seriously when we ask for help. Re-Earth Initiative enables me to work with other passionate youth who want to change the world for the better.
